School Responsibilities

 

Children have a right to be cared for and protected, protecting them is everyone’s responsibility. Cam Hopton CE Primary School is committed to equality, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

 

We will ensure all policies and procedures in respect of safeguarding children, including the Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy are up to date and in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education. The policies are accessible to all staff and members of the school community on the 'Policies' section of the school website.

 

Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies, when there are concerns about a child's welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with parents/carers first, unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child's safety.
