No experience is needed to join the committee - just plenty of enthusiasm!

We meet regularly throughout the year to:

• Discuss and agree funding priorities
• Figure out what events to run;
• Plan for upcoming event;
• Sometimes because we want to go for a social!

We always liaise with the school on events that involve the children and gain approval before moving forwards with planning.

 

Is it a lot of work?

No – you decide how involved you are!

You do NOT have to commit to attending every meeting or doing lots of additional work if you join the PTA. It’s up to you to decide what you are willing to agree to doing!

We have a core team, (the Committee), who regularly attend meetings and work on the planning etc. We then have the larger team who may not be able to attend the meetings (or can only attend occasionally) but who are kept up to date with plans and receive the meeting minutes and who are absolutely brilliant at stepping up and helping ‘on the day’ with events.

The Team are an essential part of the PTA, we could not run events without the amazing support they give at events.

We have a Whatsapp group for communication so members aren’t inundated with emails. We also have a Facebook Group that is a closed group so parents have to apply to view the contents.  https://www.facebook.com/groups/1679288588973729

Meetings are occasionally held at the school, otherwise we meet at The Old Spot or at someones house – we are a very friendly group - the more the merrier - come along to a meeting and see what it is all about!!
