What is Courageous Advocacy?

Courageous Advocacy is about:

• Giving children a voice to express their ideas, concerns, and hopes.
• Taking action to support those who need help, whether locally or globally.
• Building resilience and confidence so our pupils can lead change with compassion and courage.

Why It Matters

We live in a world where challenges such as poverty, climate change, and inequality affect millions of lives. At Cam Hopton, we teach our children that they have the power to make a difference. Our Christian Foundation

Our approach is rooted in Christian values. We are inspired by the words of Proverbs 31:8:
“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.”
This verse reminds us that advocacy is about using our voices and actions to protect and support those who need help most.

How We Promote Courageous Advocacy

• Royal British Legion poppy appeal to honour and support veterans.
• School and Worship Councils gathering pupil voice to influence decisions and promote inclusion.
• PTA-led Community Events such as the Hound Hunt and social gatherings, strengthening community ties and raising funds.
• Outdoor Learning and Well-being: Fundraising to establish a forest area for exploration and mental health support.
